- Is this a Genuine Howdens Tap part ? Yes it is.
- How do I access the Valve ? You need to remove the pop off indicator on the side of your handle to access the brass screw behind it. Loosen this screw to remove the handle. See below for our DIY Guides.
- Do you include the brass screw with the Valve / Diverter Cartridges ? We don’t because your own brass screw can be reused. If your need to buy this screw, you can buy it here.

Lamona Rienza Water Filter Tap1140 Hot Valve details :
For the Hot side – 1212R or 3819R Valve (we recommend the 1212R as seal is larger than 3819R)
Brass Valve with ceramic discs: without thread.
Whether your own Tap has the earlier 1212R two threaded valve or the later 3819R one threaded valve, we recommend the 1212R Hot valve as the replacement as it has a larger seal underneath (white) than the later 3819R hot valve (and is therefore more effective).
To show the difference in appearance between each valve, please see the pictures. So remember, if you remove your own valve 3819R and you have ordered and received the 1212R, yes they will look different, but they will fit the same, and you have gotten the better, larger seal.

Difference between Genuine and Compatible ?
To maintain your warranty and the longevity of your Tap you should replace any parts with only Genuine Spare Parts. "Genuine" means that it is coming from the manufacturer of your own Tap. You might see the word 'Compatible' used on other websites. You might even see same Part Code BUT "Compatible" means that it does NOT come from your own Tap manufacturer. Genuine Tap Parts means that the Parts have been tried and tested in your Tap model. It also guarantees that it will fit your own Tap correctly (provided that you have selected the correct replacement Part). We have had customers who fitted compatible parts in their taps and damaged other connecting parts in the process. It can work out more costly in the end to use Compatible parts.
