Signs That It’s Time to Change Your Tap Cartridge?
If you notice any of the following signs, it’s likely time to replace the cartridge in your kitchen tap:
1. Reduced water flow:
If you experience a decrease in water pressure or notice that the water flow is weaker than usual, it could be a sign that the cartridge is worn out and needs replacement.
2. Leaks or drips: Persistent leaks or drips from the tap, despite tightening the handle or other adjustments, may indicate a faulty cartridge that needs to be replaced.
3. Difficulty controlling water temperature: If you’re having trouble adjusting the temperature of the water coming out of the tap, the cartridge that controls the mixing of hot and cold water may be failing and in need of replacement.
4. Strange noises or vibrations: Unusual noises or vibrations when you turn on the tap could be a sign of a malfunctioning cartridge that needs to be addressed.
5. Visible damage or wear: If you can see visible signs of damage or wear on the cartridge, such as cracks, corrosion, or mineral buildup, it’s a clear indication that it needs to be replaced.

My shower mixer is really tight to move. It points to 6pm, it is really tight to get back to say 3pm, then easy from 3 to 12, then tight again from 12 to 9.
As it is not all tight, do you have any idea what could cause this?.
It was in when I bought the house, so I have no idea what make, type or size it is..
