Difference between Genuine and Compatible ?

To maintain your warranty and the longevity of your Tap you should replace any parts with only Genuine Spare Parts. "Genuine" means that it is coming from the manufacturer of your own Tap. You might see the word 'Compatible' used on other websites. You might even see same Part Code BUT "Compatible" means that it does NOT come from your own Tap manufacturer. Genuine Tap Parts means that the Parts have been tried and tested in your Tap model. It also guarantees that it will fit your own Tap correctly (provided that you have selected the correct replacement Part). We have had customers who fitted compatible parts in their taps and damaged other connecting parts in the process. It can work out more costly in the end to use Compatible parts.

Teka Eider Tap Valve 3602R

If your Valve has 20 splines and nut height is 7mm – you will have to order new handles as well as valves as this valve has been discontinued. New Handle and Valves here.

If you have the 28 spline, 3602R valve, then there has been a modification to this valve. The latest genuine version of this valve, which we will be sending if you order the 3602R, issued from October 2021, looks a little different from previous versions of this valve (including the one in your own tap) but is the genuine replacement / new version 3602R. See picture below
