Description
The San Marco Kitchen Tap Valve 1212R
- This is a Brass Valve with ceramic discs.
- The ‘Hot’ valve opens Clockwise. The ‘Cold’ valve opens Anti-clockwise.
Measurements: Height 50mm / Diameter at thread 21mm / Splines 20 / Nut Height 8mm
- If your own 1212R valve has San Marco stamped on it then you must buy this valve here.
- The seals underneath are white although current production models vary from Black to White .
- This is the valve to buy if you have the Carron Phoenix Averon Tap or the San Marco Emporia Tap. Your Averon or Emporia installation guide might specify the 3819R valve but you will need to replace with the 1212R valve as current 3819R valves do not work as effectively in these taps as the 1212R.
ALL our valves specified here are Genuine. They are sourced from the manufacturer of your tap. Your own valve will have the stamp San Marco or SMR.
Is there a Valve bush stuck to your own valve ?
- Here is an image of a 1212R Valve encased in the bush 3408R.
- You can try to separate and reuse with the new valve.
- If you cannot separate these two parts then you will need to buy a new brass bush as well.
- Here is the one threaded version of this valve (and depending on your tap model you might have either the earlier 1212R or the later 3819R. Depending on your Tap type, these valves can be interchangeable, UNLESS you also have a screw on Valve Cover, in which case you would always need the earlier, two threaded 1212R valve.
- For more about changing a valve and the brass bush (ring) coming away with your old valve, please read here.
This is a Genuine Spare Part you are buying here.
Difference between Genuine and Compatible ?
To maintain your warranty and the longevity of your Tap you should replace any parts with only Genuine Spare Parts. "Genuine" means that it is coming from the manufacturer of your own Tap. You might see the word 'Compatible' used on other websites. You might even see same Part Code BUT "Compatible" means that it does NOT come from your own Tap manufacturer. Genuine Tap Parts means that the Parts have been tried and tested in your Tap model. It also guarantees that it will fit your own Tap correctly (provided that you have selected the correct replacement Part). We have had customers who fitted compatible parts in their taps and damaged other connecting parts in the process. It can work out more costly in the end to use Compatible parts.
