Description
Rangemaster Estuary Tap Handle
for 28 spline valve.
This Handle comes with Grub screw .677 (located underneath the handle) that requires 2mm Allen Key to remove it.
Handle Measurements:
- The diameter of the wide part of the handle that meets the body of the tap is 34mm wide.
- The height of the handle (top to bottom, handle part only) is 97.5mm tall.
Valve in your Tap (that Handle fits over):
The current version of this Handle 3257R fits over a 28 spline valve.
Earlier models of this Tap came with the same Handle code 3257R BUT a different valve with 20 splines, 1212R.
This is a very important piece of information. Unless you have an installation guide that came with your own tap specifying the valve 3547R, please check your own valve before buying this Handle to see how many splines your own Valve has i.e 28 or 20. [there are pictures below showing the splines in either version for you to compare to].
If your installation guide specifies 1212R Valve, then you have a 20 spline valve. [note: Do not rely on installation guides that you might find on the web. ] If you don’t have the Installation Guide specifying the Valve number (and therefore to tell you whether or not your own Valve, then the simplest way to check what valve is in your own Tap is to remove the Tap Handle and check.
Using our DIY guide & a 2mm allen key How to remove the Handle on your Kitchen Tap remove your own Handle, and compare your own valve to the pictures below & the pictures in the gallery above. If unsure you can of course send us a picture of your exposed valve, plus picture of your complete Tap, and we can advise you. You can click on this email link here: sales@tapsandsinksonline.co.uk.
If you have the earlier 20 spline valve, then the current handle available will not fit your own valve. You will need to order a replacement 3547R (28 spline) valve to match the current Handle.
If only replacing one handle and you want both handles to match, you could transfer the indicator part on your own old handle onto the new handle or contact us in advance and we can check our own stock levels to see if we still have some old ‘word’ style indicators left in stock. Click on this email link here: sales@tapsandsinksonline.co.uk & attach pictures of your own tap and own handle.
This is a Genuine Spare Part you are buying here.
Difference between Genuine and Compatible ?
To maintain your warranty and the longevity of your Tap you should replace any parts with only Genuine Spare Parts. "Genuine" means that it is coming from the manufacturer of your own Tap. You might see the word 'Compatible' used on other websites. You might even see same Part Code BUT "Compatible" means that it does NOT come from your own Tap manufacturer. Genuine Tap Parts means that the Parts have been tried and tested in your Tap model. It also guarantees that it will fit your own Tap correctly (provided that you have selected the correct replacement Part). We have had customers who fitted compatible parts in their taps and damaged other connecting parts in the process. It can work out more costly in the end to use Compatible parts.
