Description
Genuine Rangemaster Aquaclassic SPA Filter Tap TSA4 Valve and Cartridge
The Rangemaster Aquaclassic SPA Filter Tap TSA4 Valve and Cartridge is a filter tap so the hot water is operated by a ‘Valve’ and the mains cold / filtered cold is operated by a two way Diverter Cartridge. We would recommend reading all the information below in order to ensure that you order the correct genuine replacement parts. We have included pictures in the gallery and below to assist you.
You have two questions to consider before you order genuine replacement parts here for the Rangemaster Aquaclassic SPA Filter Tap TSA4 :
- Splines :
- This post here explains what we mean by splines & shows you how to check.
- Why is this important ? Do you have the earlier model that takes a 20 spline hot valve /18 spline diverter [1212R 20 spline Hot valve plus 18 spline 3448R Cold diverter] or the later models take the 28 spline hot valve 3561R / 28 spline 3446r diverter cartridge? You will need to know this to order the correct ‘splined’ part for your tap handle. We have come across models c. 2014, 2013 that have the 20 splines BUT we do not have a transition date for when they were changed to 28.
- To check the splines use our Guide: How to remove the Handle on your Kitchen Tap. You will need a 2mm allen key . Alternatively email us the pictures for advice . Note * We supply the 1212R 20 spline Hot valve, stamped San Marco, instead of the 3984R 20 spline with red seal as that is the best replacement valve for an older TSA4.
- What is this Brass Casing Part 4144R ? This is the brass casing that the valve sits inside. You should be able to reuse your own one unless it is damaged. You can buy from the drop down menu. It does not come with the diverter cartridge.
- How do I know which part to replace ? You need to determine if the drip is coming from cold water feed (you need a diverter cartridge) or the hot water feed. If unsure, order both. There are more detailed tips / advice here. This Blog post My Kitchen Tap is dripping should explain the most common causes (and parts required) to fix a dripping Kitchen Tap.

Cold Side / Filtered Cold Side:
Brass Cold Diverter Valve 18 Splines : 3448R
- 3448R has 18 splines and is the ‘match’ for the 20 splined hot valve.
- Two of the splines have a wider gap enabling it to fit into a 20 splined grooved inside of handle.
Brass Casing 4144R
You might also need the Brass Casing that goes over this Diverter Cartridge. Any pictures showing the Diverter Cartridge and Casing together as one unit is for illustrative purposes only. They do not come as one unit. You have to order both separately if you want both of them.

Difference between Genuine and Compatible ?
To maintain your warranty and the longevity of your Tap you should replace any parts with only Genuine Spare Parts. "Genuine" means that it is coming from the manufacturer of your own Tap. You might see the word 'Compatible' used on other websites. You might even see same Part Code BUT "Compatible" means that it does NOT come from your own Tap manufacturer. Genuine Tap Parts means that the Parts have been tried and tested in your Tap model. It also guarantees that it will fit your own Tap correctly (provided that you have selected the correct replacement Part). We have had customers who fitted compatible parts in their taps and damaged other connecting parts in the process. It can work out more costly in the end to use Compatible parts.
