Description

Howdens Lamona Victorian Tap4805 Valve

If your Lamona Victorian Kitchen Tap4805 is dripping from the Spout continuously then you might need to change your Valves.  If it is only dripping intermittently then it is possible that debris is stuck behind the Aerator at the tip of the spout.

If your Tap is dripping where the Spout meets the Base you might need to replace your O Ring Kit.

To make it easier for you we have included pictures here of what your Valve should look like (with or without the bush around it) and also a picture of the other Howdens Lamona Victorian Tap4801 Valve as that is a different looking valve.  Ideally you should remove your own valve before ordering a replacement valve to ensure that you order the correct one and that way you would also know if you require the brass bush or not.

Howdens Victorian Tap4805 FAQ

  • Is this a Genuine Howdens Tap part ? Yes it is.
  • How do I know which Valve to order? You need to determine where the drip is coming from e.g cold water feed or hot water feed. If in doubt, order a pair. There are more detailed tips / advice here.  This Blog post My Kitchen Tap is dripping should explain the most common causes (and parts required) to fix a dripping Kitchen Tap.
  • How do I access the Valve? You need a 2mm allen key to loosen the grub screw underneath the handle. See below for our DIY Guides.
  • My valve looks wider and completely different from the pictures here / the one I ordered ? Is the Bush stuck to your own Valve ? That is the round extra piece of Brass that surrounds the valve. Sometimes they can get stuck together and come out as one piece.  See the images below.  You can order the Bush part separately if needed. It is one Bush per Valve.
  • How do I separate the Brass Bush from the Valve?  Check out this guide here.
  • My tap is leaking at the base of the spout, not the top, what do I need? If your Tap is dripping where the Spout meets the Base then you might need to replace your O Ring Kit.
