Lamona Garda Tap3566 Pull-out Valve

Valve Dimensions:

Nut Height: 8mm
Splines: 28
Overall height: 53mm
Diameter at thread: 21mm

Due to modifications in this Tap by the manufacturer over the years, we supply the original white sealed version of this valve (larger seal underneath). We use code 4276R to distinguish from later valve used in the Tap which has a coloured flatter seal. This is a genuine Spare Part. Parts are labelled Hot & Cold. If opened and you cannot tell apart, as both Hot & Cold Valves have white seals underneath: the Hot valve opens Clockwise and has nicks on the side of the nut. The Cold Valve opens Anticlockwise and has no nicks.

It might be possible that your own Garda Pull Out Tap will have the later one threaded valve 3547R. We supply the ‘parent’ two threaded valve, 4276R as it then covers all the years of this product in manufacture.

Here below is an image of the two valves to show their visual differences. The fit is the exact same of either valve but the advantage of the 4276R over the 3547R is the white thicker seal underneath.

Useful Tip about the Bush

If you remove your Valve and it looks different than the valve in the picture, it is most likely because the brass bush is still attached. You will have to separate them OR buy a Brass Bush as well. For tips on how to separate a Valve from a Brass Bush, see here.

Is this a Genuine Howdens Tap part ? Yes it is.
How do I access the Valve? You need a 2mm allen key to loosen the grub screw underneath the handle. See below for our DIY Guides.
How do I know which Valve to order? You need to determine where the drip is coming from e.g cold water feed or hot water feed. If in doubt, order a pair. There are more detailed tips / advice here. My Valve has a different coloured seal than the one you have sent me? Due to modifications over the many years that this Tap has been in production, we supply the universal Garda Valve that covers all these changes. This is based on the manufacturer’s recommendations.
My valve looks wider and completely different from the pictures here / the one I ordered ? Is the Bush stuck to your own Valve ? That is the round extra piece of Brass that surrounds the valve. Sometimes they can get stuck together and come out as one piece. See the images below. You can order the Bush part separately if needed. It is one Bush per Valve.

My tap is leaking at the base of the spout, not the top, what do I need? If your Tap is dripping where the Spout meets the Base then you might need to replace your O Ring Kit.
