Description
Howdens Lamona Professional Tap9157 Valve
If your Howdens Lamona Professional Tap9157 Valve is dripping continuously then you might need to change your Valves.
If it is only dripping intermittently then it is possible that debris is stuck behind the Aerator at the tip of the spout.
If your Tap is dripping where the Spout meets the Base you might need to replace your O Ring Kit.
Ideally you should remove your own valve before ordering a replacement valve to ensure that you order the correct one and that way you would also know if you require the brass bush or not.
Valve Measurements
- Nut Height: 8mm
- Splines: 28
- Overall height: 53mm
- Diameter at thread: 21mm
Before ordering your replacement Tap9157 Valve, you might require the Bush for Valve as well. This is a brass cylindrical piece that the valve sits into inside the Tap. Sometimes these parts stick together and when the Valve is removed, the Bush comes out as well. Should you also require a Brass Bush (one per valve), the same part number SP3868 is used on both Hot and Cold Valve.

Difference between Genuine and Compatible ?
To maintain your warranty and the longevity of your Tap you should replace any parts with only Genuine Spare Parts. "Genuine" means that it is coming from the manufacturer of your own Tap. You might see the word 'Compatible' used on other websites. You might even see same Part Code BUT "Compatible" means that it does NOT come from your own Tap manufacturer. Genuine Tap Parts means that the Parts have been tried and tested in your Tap model. It also guarantees that it will fit your own Tap correctly (provided that you have selected the correct replacement Part). We have had customers who fitted compatible parts in their taps and damaged other connecting parts in the process. It can work out more costly in the end to use Compatible parts.
