Franke Zurich Tap Valve FAQ

• Is this a Genuine Franke Tap part ? Yes it is.
• I don’t know which part I need as there are two different valve types listed here? The manufacturers changed c.2012 from 1212R valve (valve with two sets of threads on it) to SP3819 (aka 3819R valve (which has one set of threads) but we have seen earlier taps with the 3819R and later taps with the 1212R white seal/ 3984R blue / red two threaded version.  We stock all the Genuine Valves referred to here.  If you do not know which Valve is in your own tap you can order the 1212R valve as that covers all years of production. If you want to check before ordering you can remove your own handle and compare to the pictures below.
• My valve looks different from the pictures here / the one I ordered ? Assuming that you have the Zurich Tap – is the Bush stuck to your own Valve ? that is the round extra piece of Brass that surrounds the valve. Sometimes they can get stuck together and come out as one piece.  See the images below.  You can order the Bush part here.   If you have the Zurich Filter Tap then you would have a Diverter Cartridge in your Cold side to operate the mains cold and filtered cold water.  This is a different part entirely from the standard cold Zurich valve. • How do I access the Valve ? You need to remove the pop off indicator on the side of your Zurich tap handle to access the brass screw behind it. Loosen this screw using a Philips screw driver. See below for our DIY Guides.

Franke Zurich Tap Valve Bush 3408R

• If your valve looks like this in the image below, then the brass bush is still attached.
• You will need to separate and reuse with the new valve, or if you cannot separate, then buy a new brass bush as well.
