Description
Franke Olympus Tap Spout 3218R
-
- The Franke Olympus Tap Spout is available in a Chrome or Silk Steel (Brushed) Finish.
- Please look at the video below explaining the upgrade of your Franke Olympus Spout 3218R. This upgraded (improved) Franke Olympus Spout is now recoded as SP3926 (3926R). The video shows the differences and is there to explain them and to reassure you that if your own Olympus Tap has the 3218R, the upgraded Spout SP3926 (3926R) will be a perfect fit.
- Later Installation Guides have part listed as SP3926. If your Installation Guide lists Part SP3926 then you do not need to check the details of your own Spout.
If you have an older Olympus Tap :
The current Spout 3926R (SP3926) is the improved version of the 3218R. It contains the same O Ring Kit but was modified to include an additional PTFE (Teflon) ring for increased stability. This improved design change is coming from your Tap manufacturer. Take a look at our very short video here to show the difference.
Need O Ring Kit only ?
If you only require the O Ring Kit i.e. your Tap is dripping from the Base, and do not need to replace the complete spout, you can buy the Franke Olympus O Ring Kit here. We include two different size grub screws with the O Ring Kit if you buy the O Ring Kit separately.
FAQ – Olympus Tap Spout 3218R:
- Does this Spout suit all Olympus Taps ? It suits the Olympus, Olympus S and Olympus G. It does not suit the Olympus Filterflow (different aerator) or the Olympus Spring.
- Are your spouts brand new or used ? All our parts are brand new. Unused. We apply a small discount in case we miss a tiny mark when inspecting before shipping. We explain this in more detail below.
- Is there an O Ring Kit on this Spout ? All our Spouts come complete with O Ring Kit and Aerator.
- Do you include the grub screw where my spout is held in with a screw ? We include the current grub screw, 2.5mm, with this spout. There have been at least two different grub screws used with this Tap so it is a good idea to retain your own grub screw when removing. We recommend putting a cloth around your tap base to catch your own grub screw in case you need it.
- I can’t locate the grub screw? Feel around the back of your tap with a finger as its a very small hole. Its usually directly at the back of the base of your tap.
- Do you include silicone grease ? No because it needs to be applied freshly when installed. You can source this from any Builders Merchant.
DIY Guide to fitting a Spout:
- Do I need to call in a plumber to do this ? Most people find this a very straightforward DIY job. Here is our guide to assist you.
- You might need to apply some pressure to push down the Spout.
- Make sure that the gap in the white ptfe o ring aligns with the grub screw hole when inserting the new spout.
This is a Spout Part and not the complete Tap. We discount all of our Brand New Genuine Spouts in case our checkers / shippers miss a tiny blemish. Our Spouts are Sourced directly from the Manufacturer of your Tap. Below is an example of a tiny mark on a Spout.
This Product listed here is new Replacement Spout Only. It is not a complete new Tap.
This is a Genuine Spare Part you are buying here.
Difference between Genuine and Compatible ?
To maintain your warranty and the longevity of your Tap you should replace any parts with only Genuine Spare Parts. "Genuine" means that it is coming from the manufacturer of your own Tap. You might see the word 'Compatible' used on other websites. You might even see same Part Code BUT "Compatible" means that it does NOT come from your own Tap manufacturer. Genuine Tap Parts means that the Parts have been tried and tested in your Tap model. It also guarantees that it will fit your own Tap correctly (provided that you have selected the correct replacement Part). We have had customers who fitted compatible parts in their taps and damaged other connecting parts in the process. It can work out more costly in the end to use Compatible parts.
