Franke Moritz Tap Valve

£16.50£33 incl. VAT

Franke Moritz Tap Valve . You will buy from this product link here if your Valve looks like the 3547R but has a date stamp on it EARLIER than 2014.

The Current 3547R Valve is stamped 2014 onwards (and you see it in Franke and Carron Installation guides). There is an earlier SMR 3547R valve that is different from the current 3547R Valve. Unfortunately the Discontinued Old Valve looks like the New Valve But the key difference is that the current valve has a flatter seal. If you have the earlier Valve ((stamped 2013 or earlier – the valve is stamped month / year  as on a Bank Card e.g  06/13, 07/12) then you should purchase this valve here.  You will receive a two threaded version called 3561R which the manufacturer of your Tap recommends that you use if you have the earlier ‘discontinued’ one threaded valve (dated 2013 or earlier).  However, if you have an Installation Guide that states 3547R (or SP3547) then you need to go back to the other Valve link here which will supply you with a one threaded 3547R valve .  Your Valve will have a 2014 or later stamp on it and then you can buy the actual current 3547R.    Any Franke Installation Guide that specifies the SP3547 – this is this valve here.

Here is our Guide 7 Easy Steps to replace Kitchen Tap Valve.

If your Tap is dripping where the Spout meets the Base you might need to replace the O Ring Kit.

Difference between Genuine and Compatible ?

To maintain your warranty and the longevity of your Tap you should replace any parts with only Genuine Spare Parts. "Genuine" means that it is coming from the manufacturer of your own Tap. You might see the word 'Compatible' used on other websites. You might even see same Part Code BUT "Compatible" means that it does NOT come from your own Tap manufacturer. Genuine Tap Parts means that the Parts have been tried and tested in your Tap model. It also guarantees that it will fit your own Tap correctly (provided that you have selected the correct replacement Part). We have had customers who fitted compatible parts in their taps and damaged other connecting parts in the process. It can work out more costly in the end to use Compatible parts.
