Please note that there is an earlier SMR 3547R valve that is different from this current 3547R Valve here. The earlier one has been discontinued. This current 3547R Valve has a flatter seal underneath and will NOT work in your tap if you have the earlier 3547R version (larger seal underneath).

Where you might have the earlier 3547R (stamped 2013 or earlier – the valve is stamped month / year e.g 06/13, 07/12) the manufacturer of your Tap recommends that you use the universal 4276R Valve with 28 splines as it has a larger seal underneath (like the old 3547R). See below for the link to this alternative Valve . Any Franke Installation Guide that specifies the SP3547 – this is this valve here.

If your own tap is the Alba, Maya, Boise or Planar, the manufacturer recommends that you purchase the 4276R (Aka 1427r/2552R/2307R) Valve instead.
