Carron Phoenix Aztec Tap Valve

1212R  or 3819R for the Cold Water side or Hot Water side of your Kitchen Tap.

  • We do not stock the earlier valve with 18 splines code R9742P.1760C (cold) and R9742P.1760H (hot).
  • We supply screws with our valve in case your own valve precedes the 1212R and your own screws are not compatible with the new valves.

The word ‘white’ beside the 1212R Valve option refers to the colour of the seal. We supply the earlier white sealed version as the seal is larger than the current flatter red / blue seals.

Please note that this Tap has been changed several times over the years so it is very important, if you don’t have your Installation Guide that came with the Tap (that would give you spare part numbers) that you check the measurements of your own parts against these parts listed below before buying.

Please also read below before ordering.

Description

Carron Phoenix Aztec Tap Valve

Depending on when your tap was manufactured, and if your own valve has 20 splines, you might or might not require the screw that we supply with the valve.

1212R or 3819R

If your Tap is dripping from the Spout then you might need to change your Valves.

Here is our Guide 7 Easy Steps to replace Kitchen Tap Valve.

If your Tap is dripping where the Spout meets the Base you might need to replace your Carron Phoenix Aztec Tap O Ring Kit 1239R.

For more about changing a valve and the brass bush (ring) coming away with your old valve, please read here..
If you do need to order a Brass Bush please check which one you have (or order both with a view to returning the one that you don’t need) as the original brass bush would be the 36mm 3408R and the later bush is the 30mm 3409R.

I don't know what Valve I need to fix my dripping Tap is a useful guide if you don't know what Valve you need to fix your Dripping Tap. There are other useful guides in our 'Helpful Tips' section such as the 'How to' section which includes DIY guides on changing valves, cartridges etc. These might be useful if you need to remove the handle (7 easy steps to replace a kitchen valve) or lever (How to replace a Cartridge on your single lever tap) on your tap in order to see what your own Tap Part looks like before you compare to ours. See our Tap Spare Parts Section for all the Spare Tap Parts on our Website.

This is a Genuine Spare Part you are buying here.

Difference between Genuine and Compatible ?

To maintain your warranty and the longevity of your Tap you should replace any parts with only Genuine Spare Parts. "Genuine" means that it is coming from the manufacturer of your own Tap. You might see the word 'Compatible' used on other websites. You might even see same Part Code BUT "Compatible" means that it does NOT come from your own Tap manufacturer. Genuine Tap Parts means that the Parts have been tried and tested in your Tap model. It also guarantees that it will fit your own Tap correctly (provided that you have selected the correct replacement Part). We have had customers who fitted compatible parts in their taps and damaged other connecting parts in the process. It can work out more costly in the end to use Compatible parts.
