***This handle is compatible with the current 3656R valve. The older 3565R valve has narrower splines, making it incompatible with the new handle. In this case, you’ll need to order the new SP3656 valve. Before ordering, check your valve—an obvious difference is that the nut on the new valve is stepped. ***
