Is this a Genuine Abode Tap part ? Yes it is.
How do I know which Valve to order ? You need to determine where the drip is coming from e.g the cold water feed or the hot water feed. If in doubt, order a pair. There are more detailed tips / advice here.
My tap is leaking at the base of the spout, not the top, what do I need? If your Tap is dripping where the Spout meets the Base then you need to replace your O Ring Kit.
How do I access the Valve? You need an allen key to loosen the grub screw underneath the handle. See below for our DIY Guides.
What tools do I need to remove the 2 sided mini valve? You can try a long socket, ratchet tool and a 12mm spanner or just buy our specific tool here.
What tools do I need to remove the 6 sided mini valve? Just an allen key and adjustable spanner.

If you ignore a drip it can effect the inner workings of your Tap. It might result in the drip being beyond repair. Often Plumbers advise to replace the Tap. They do this because customers purchase the wrong part or the exact part is hard to source.

But not if you contact us. If you contact us before buying, we will advise you on the correct part for your Tap. That way, if you are calling in a Plumber to fix your Tap, all the correct parts will be there for the Plumber to fix your Tap.

Difference between Genuine and Compatible ?

To maintain your warranty and the longevity of your Tap you should replace any parts with only Genuine Spare Parts. "Genuine" means that it is coming from the manufacturer of your own Tap. You might see the word 'Compatible' used on other websites. You might even see same Part Code BUT "Compatible" means that it does NOT come from your own Tap manufacturer. Genuine Tap Parts means that the Parts have been tried and tested in your Tap model. It also guarantees that it will fit your own Tap correctly (provided that you have selected the correct replacement Part). We have had customers who fitted compatible parts in their taps and damaged other connecting parts in the process. It can work out more costly in the end to use Compatible parts.
