Description
Abode Orcus Aquifier Kitchen Tap Valve
This tap requires 1 hot valve and 2 cold valves.
- A cold valve opens anticlockwise
- A hot valve opens clockwise and has nicks on the side of the nut to distinguish it from the cold valve.
- They should never be opened up to ‘interchange’ them as you will shorten the life of this Genuine Part. No Tap manufacturer would recommend this.
FAQ
My own Orcus valve looks different : Have you checked that you extracted the valve ‘only’ from your Tap or did the Bush part come out as well. See our gallery images for this valve and bush stuck together.

It can be a common enough problem that when you remove your Kitchen Tap Valve it looks different than the valve in the picture (or the Valve that you purchased from us). It is most likely because the brass bush is still attached.
If the Valve is stuck inside the Brass Bush then you can buy the Bush as well. See below for link to purchase. You can try and separate them but if you damage the Bush then your Tap will drip.
This Valve comes with different Brass Bushes, the most common ones are
the 3868R with recess and the 3886R with lip shown below. If your brass bush is different, then contact us.
For tips on how to separate a Valve from a Brass Bush, see here.

- Genuine = Proper fit, tested by the Manufacturer
- Compatible = Not made by your Tap’s brand. May not fit or last.
We’ve seen compatible parts cause leaks or damage. Choosing genuine parts protects your tap and warranty.
