Due to the valve being exposed to air at the manufacturing plant (oxidation), you might notice that the brass is slightly blackened in places. These are brand new valves direct from the manufacturer and the ceramic disc and seal are perfect. The slight discolouration has absolutely no bearing on the workings of this valve which have been tried and tested here.

If your Valve looks wider than the pictures, then the most likely explanation is that the Brass Bush has come away with the valve, in which case you will need to order a brass bush part if you cannot separate. Example below of a valve stuck in the bush. Please measure the diameter of the bush as it could be one of two different types.
